Mr. Cosgrave speaking at Curlew, referred to Mr. tie Valera’s statement that nobody had a right to bear arms except tlie army and the police. Ho said that the statement should have been made and enforced six months ago. Such a pronouncement would have done more to contribute to peace in Ireland than reiteration of the statement attributed to Mr. J. If. Thomas at Ottawa. Tlll*3 S T AT E M E N T Mr. do Valera declared some days ago that M.\ Thomas had gleefully sail to him at; Ottawa: "We need not have anyseltling with you because you wilt have another crvil war in Ireland within a few months.”
