Haw era, Jan 9 A number of employees who have continued working at the Putea freezing works during the currency of the present dispute —firemen, gas-producers and the locomotive driver—ceased work oil Thursday. Nearly 30 members of the Patea Freezing Workers’ Union who have been nnempJpyed for some time registered for relief work yesterday. Many of the men have taken the step in order to amelioratfe the hardship of Paten tradespeople and others who have extended lengthy credit facilities to the unionists
