Christchurch, January 12. * A candidate for the Mayoralty, at tile coming council election, Arthur Stacey was summoned to appear at the Magistrate’s Court thi 8 morning on the charge o. being an unlicensed land agent. Defendant did not appear, and the case was adjourned to January 26. The Chief Detective produced a telegram from defendant ashing for a fortnight’s adjournment. He paid lie was out of town.
