B WIN RODGERS CUP FEILDING TEAM BEATEN JX FINAL In the fiual of the junior otic-round competition for the Rodgers Cup. played at the Showgrounds on Saturday, P.X. Old Boys 15 defeated Feilding by 14 points to 8 to carry off tlie trophy. It was a good even contest with Old Boys holding the advantage right through. Lang oi»cned the scoring for Old Boys when he landed a penalty goal. This total was increased to eight when Waldegrave scored a try to put the finishing touches on a forward scramble. Feilding then took a hand and the yellow forwards were all over Old Boys to the line where a good try was scored and converted. At half time tlie score was B—s in Old Boys’ favour. Feilding attacked following the resumption but Waldegrave intercepted brilliantly and after a great run from half way be .dived over for a splendid try. Feilding retaliated shortly afterwards and a further try came as the result of a loose rush. The final try was scored by Boag who followed to secure a cross kick by Lang to the line. The final score was 14—8. Mr. L. Cdjie was the referee.
