Burgess was convicted and sentenced to 21 days’ imprisonment in the Hamilton gaol, to be released on payment of £3 from arrears owing. Mr Seddon appeared for informant. Edward Guy Hooke was convicted and sentenced to two months’ imprisonment in Now Plymouth gad to bo released on payment of .£2O from arrears owing. Mr Mason appeared for informant. Percy Burgess (Mr Me limes) applied for a reduction in the order made for his child in favour of the mother. It was shown that lie, was £26 ios in arrears. Since the ordc was made he had married another woman. The Magistrate intimated that he had very little sympathy for Burgess. The arrears were wiped out, but the order for ios a week will stand. WANDERING STOCK It. Peter, who did not appear, was convicted and flood 15s and 12s costa for allowing stock to wander at Kakanki. For a similar offence, O. Petersen was fined 15s and 12s costs.
