Acting on the advice of the Gov-ernor-General during an address at Christchurch, the Nelson College Old Boys’ Association lias cabled to Loulon inquiring as to the possibilities of securing a replica of Oswald Birley’s portrait of Lord Rutherford of Nelson, reecntly ordered by the Royal Society and hung at Burlington House. The Association for some months :*st has been endeavouring to secure a portrait of the famous scientist anj feels that a replica of this portrait will possess much added interest.
