He had a free house on the farm, but whereas he ha s to pay rent- in the borough, a kindly committee provides himself and family with generous rations and firewood, whil c also* gets hi s share of the work that is going under the relief scheme. It was. never intended that this ■'sort of tiling should operate in Foil ding Neither t he S c s herri c nor tho relief funds should be so abused. The Committees affected should investigate and send out warnings.
