NEXT MO'Xtfi’S SESSION RETURN OF OTTAWA DELEGATES (Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 15. It is expected tliat the Government will announce this week the dale on which it j.s proposd to call Parliament together. The general expectation appears to be that the date chosen will be Thursday., September 22. Premier Forbes stated to-day that he was not yet in a. position to give the exaci date. I*a til ament would meet, towards the end of next month. Should September 22 be chosen as the date, it will be possible for the Minister of Public Works (the Right. Mon. J. G. Coates) and the Minister of Finance (the lion. \Y. DowniC Stewart) to reach New Zealand in time for the opening:. The Monowai is scheduled to leave San Francisco on August 31 and is due at Wellington on September iq. The Government is hopeful of being able to conclude the business, of Parliament before Christmas. It is not anticipated that the legislative programme will be a heavy one, and it is believed that about 12. weeks will be sufficient to put the business through.
