Inter-club matches were played against the Wanganui Ea t. Paliiatua. and Martoii Clubs, three matches being worn and one lost. One A grade team wa s entered in else Mannwatll Association inter-club coini ;t it mi and was runner-up in fhc northern div’sion, the Palmerston Club again wilting the competition. The winners of the competitions at the annual club tournament were as follow: Men’s senior rbamiM-mUiip, D. G. Coom' e; ladies’ sen'.or championship, Miss JI. Rutherford; men’s junior championship, G. Da* ra-gli; ladies’ junior championship. Miss T. Cnrthew; ladies’ hantVenp doubles. Mis - es V. Gilmour and E. Humphrey; turn handicap don hi ex. .L. Buddy, who were successful itt winning the Manawatu Association eliampionsh p doubles. and to Miss M Rutherford, who won the Palmer ton Club ladies’ champion dt ip. It is regretted that the cash position i - not as .strung as was the case last year. The season opened with a Credit, balance, of £lO bu t the revenue fell away owing to resignations while increased maintenance charges together with the co t °f the shelter fence," exhausted our cash resources, and the year closes villi a, debit, of £2B. Once again the club acknowledget the many gratuitous services .rendered K Mr W. T.
