Yesterday’s bestprice was £3 10g, whidh is £1 beite<“ than the highest of a week ago. There was a large yarding ol’ generally good quality. The fat cattle market showed 'a. slight improvement, and the idullncss which had characterised the market for many months hn s apparently passed. A medium yarding of extra coot! quality fat sheep was offered. Fat wethers and ewCs advanced Ik 6d on last week’s rates, but fat hoggets were slew of sale. A medium yarding of store sheep, with o-rJv a few pen, s of breeding ewes, the lively tone of this market having passed, as lambing is proceeding. There was a good demand for store hoggets.
