The 21 year-old Manchester girl, Sunny Lowry, left Lover in an. attempt to swim the Channel at 4.4-5 p.m. yesterday but abandoned the swim at 6.55 a.m. to-day within four miles of Grisnez owing to the coldness -of the v.v.uer.
