SHORTAGE OF SURGEONS
FOR PUBLIC HOSPITALS WHAT IS BEING DONE Wellington, August 11. According to Dr. Campbell Begg, chairman df the house committee of the Wellintgon Hospital Board, there is a shortage of house surgeons for hospital hoards in the maiu centres. Li Wellington the position lias been met bv employing students in. their sixth year as resident dressers, with a view to their engagement next year n,s house .'surgeons-. It is hoped that under this policy an ample supply of very able and experienced men will be guaranteed for the future.
