SENATE’S VOTE
A DEFEAT OF DE VALERA MAN UFA I ’Tl’ RES CONTROL (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Dublin. Aug. 11. The Senate sat. specially to consider the I Jail’s, rejection of its amendments to the Control of Manufactures Bill. The Government was defeated by 24 votes to 17 on a motion '-that; tlie •Senate do not insist on its amendments'' meaning that if the Dail disagrees the Bill will automatically be delayed l'or 1.8 months.
