CELEBRATES ARBOR DAY
TREES AND SHRUBS PI.ANTED
Arbor 1 lay was celebrated yesterday at. the Cheltenham .School. Over' 40 adults were present. In the morning lessons were given by the teachers and in the afternoon the soltrol aA«emblee( and a. short programme was rendered.

The grounds, at present present a. winter aspect, bti- L , are in good order and tidy. The trees planted on previous Arbor Days are doing well. Daring the afternoon a. basket ball game was played, the teams ectmprising i.wo clioten from present and exscholars. Afternoon teal was also a.n important part of the activities. TALK ON WOOL Inst week Mrs Athol Shannon, virepresident of the OhCttenhaiu Wo-. •mou’ s Institute, gave a. talk to tire Standard classes on wool. Mr- Shannon had her spinning wheel, carders etc. anil showed the children the whole process and exhibited various kinds of wool, dyes etc. The talk *tts very interesting and instructive.
