Tho Daily Telegraph’s Ottawa correspondent states that the Australian negotiations have reached the stage of drafting practical proposals and the negotiations have raised some knotty points for the conference. It is now regarded as certain that the Australian and New Zealand agreements will provide for a tax of 2d on foreign mutton and lamb, and a quota for hut ter. 'The agreements with the Dominions genvially are expected to embrace a tax of Ad per dozen on foreign eggs, and v. duty on foreign bacon and apples.
