Beth witnesses for the defence regarded Livermore as insane—'x*-\e railing him ‘‘an insane killer iand both witnesses for the Crown denied his insanity. I.ivermore’s early life, his thought,s of suicide and. homicide, his unhappiness, and his writing of poem a-U-d stories, were all mentioned ill yesterday's evidence. Livermore is himself taking only occasional interest in the proceedings- Hi, sat most of yesterday with his ’ head lowered. looking very youthful against the warder who sat beside him.
