DISQUIETING SERIES OF
OFFENCES WANG ANTI SENTENCES (Per Press Association.) Thomas Butler, farmer. 30, w\as sentenced to one year’s imprison* Victor Ward, labourer, 24, was sentenced to two years, a n d Clnronco Davey, labourer, 24, to two years. These four men were concern ed in a series of 18 burglaries which occurred l at AVangauui between December. 1931, and July, 1032. THE RATA CARE Clarence Woods, 24, and Francis Durran, 29. both labourers, were each sentenced to nine months’ impritsonment c*n charges relating to the attempted breaking .and entering of a store at Rata, near Wanganui.
