Ti. found that little action liad been taken, although various parts of tho Empire had made tentative independent moves. Ireland had established minimum standard.? for eggs, butter, moat and potatoes. Australia, and Now Zealand have •a long list of cl.tablished grades. Canada lavs do U nite grading, not* ably in grain. It, is still considered higb.lv desirable '{o arrange n n Empire unity in this direction, 'because it would reduce waste, avoid confusion and cheapen advertising. Tt would actually he a form of rationalisation of the industry-. The committee is further investigating. with a. view to arriving at uniform schedules. .
