BY ONLY ONE VOTE MUN iCI PAT, EMPLOYEES SAVED* FROM A CUT (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, June 28. By nine vote to eight, a motion to Impose a 10 per cent, cut on the wages of municipal employees and to abolish the present subsidy of 2s per day on relief workers’ wages was rejected at a meeting of tile City Council, tiie discussion lasting from -'■3l' p.in. to 1.1 p.m. 9 1 ’’ A - K - Armstrong voted with the official Labour members, giving them a majority on the division.
