FOR iFEILIHNG DISTRESS CASES PLANS FOR THE WINTER AN APPEAL TO RESIDENTS Mr T. Collins, on behalf of the local Distress Relief Committee, asks that an appeal lie made for firewood for distressed families in FeUding during the winter. It is proposed to have the wood cut. and stacked now. so that there will be o stock in hand when required. Those residents or settlers who have standing timber on their properties which they might wish or agree to have felled and cut up for this purpose are asked to get in touch, with Air Collins, who will then arrange to have the trees felled and carted away and stacked ready for tlie cold days. Tiie whole of the labour and transport will he arranged by Mr Collins, so that property owners will be put to no trouble at all should they he willing to help in this way to relieve discomfort to distressed families in the winter months.
