BIG POWER SCHEME

A NATIONAL ENTERPRISE PROGRESS MADE IN BRITAIN (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Rugby, Feb. 12. The Central Electricity Board which was created five years ago has made remarkable progress an the national power scheme. The scheme contemplates Ira omission lines totalling 4070 miles and at the end of 1931 more than 2400 miles had been built. Tile lines In actual operation aggregate 910 miles. The progress made last year was rapid. AVork will he set in operation during the current year in Central Scotland and probably by the end of 1933 in llie other area. During the last year the Board placed contracts of £30,000.000 in connection with the scheme.
