Sergeant Henry said since January there had been 21 eases of unauthorised removal of cars in Hawera. Defendant was the sixth to be punished. “MECHANICS” TRAIL OF THEFTS Herbert Porter arid Samuel Werner, jointly charged, pleaded guilty on four charges involving theft of car equipment, tools, clothing and watches of a total value .of £25 from residences in outlying country centre? which were visited. between April and October a,s mechanics repairing milking machines.
