Beasley, leader of vltat, is known us the Lang Plan fart ion in the Federal House, delivered a policy speech in uho Sydney Town Hall tonight. His party lias candidates standing in all the Metropolitan and some of the country seats, also three nominees for the Senate. Mr Beasley favours the nationalisation o,f banking and the complete control of finance by the Commonwealth Bank whose object should bo “to see that the real wealth of the people as measured by goods is covered with sufficient current credit to allow (trade, commerce and employment to continue.’’ This is the essence of tiro Liang financial plan. He contended that the Commonwealth Bank wa s now a terrible weapon of oppression and destruction. He advocated co-operative marketing embroiled by tlio producers, fixation of prices and profits, a tariff for tlio protection, of secondary industries and a. defence policy for home defence only.
