EFFECT OF DEPRESSION WELLINGTON FIGURES (Aust. and N.Z. Oablel Wellington, Dec. I. The effect of the financial depression on business in Wellington is re-
fleeted in higher bankruptcy figures for the 11 months of this year than in the corresponding months of last year. Petitions filed in 'Wellington city and suburbs last year were ST. and lids year the number lias risen to 79. In November seven petitions were filed, as against three in November last year. They included a company manager, a builder, a restaurant proprietor, a piano tuner, a farm labourer. a driver, and a cutter.
