T. Watson, F. Dow rick, T. K. Hay, O. Sporle. J. H. Mason. Rev. Kemp. . thorne, M ijor McLean, C. S. Jeff - (lion. Treasurer), and A. C. BuisJ (hon. secretary). Committee meetings have ‘been held when necessary, and members have* taken an active interest 'll the welfare of the boys. Training.—Th© roll totals 40 scouts and 40 cubs. Scout master F. Street ably -controls the Scout troop, assired by Assistant-Scoutmaster D. Milner and tho Patrol leaders. Scoutmaster Clark and Rover Scour 0. At the Feilding A. :i n<; P. Show the Scout team again won ihe tug-of-war shield presented by Mr. T. Collins, and each member received n t medal kindly donated bv Air. D. T.. Younger. The great event of the veer was the visit of the Chief Scout. Lord Baden Powell, and Lady Baden Powell, our troop being represented at Wellington by :tf> boys and 3 officers. A patrol attended a social evening given at Marion by the Marion Scouts, and during thp winter several handball competitions were played against the juvenile lodges. The Cubs reporthaving secured many now members to replace those moved up to tho Scout troop Miss Nancy "Wilson., olio i~ always a. willing friend to the Fending Cubs gave a splendid afternoon "s instruction in games, songs, etc., in the- Victoria Park early in the year. Keen, competition for mostpoints in cleanliness and neatness of dress has been evinced in both packs. With both Scouts and Cubs, badgework and useful training has been carefully followed out. Public Services. — During tlui Hawke s Bay earthquake time, the Scouts lent invaluable aid at the racecourse by acting as meal orderlies and messengers for the old men's ramp. Assistance was also given at the Anznc luncheon, and several other public and private functions. We arc again indebted to the Manchester School Committee for the us, 0 of the quad for weekly parades.
