Racing Club, which wa s stolen from-the car. of the club’s secretary, Air E. la TVobc Hill, on August 28,"the night of the Racing Cflub’s annual meeting, was recovered on Tuesday in' a vacant section at the hack of King Georg© V. Hospital by Poatn Ereknma Hum, a young 'Maori relief worker, who was taking a short cut across th e paddock. He reported his ftnd to the police, a.nd it is staked, that he will be paid the reward which was offered for the recovery of the. books. In spite of the fact that the hag was unlocked at the time it was stolen, the thieves slashed open the side, in order to investigate the- eo,n'tents. The books wer© slightly damy<red hv exposure to the weather, but arer still legible. There was nothing of monetary value in, the hog.
