TR ANSFER IN M ID-OCEAN OIL OX TROUBLED WATERS Officers of the steamer Zealnndic j which recenty arrived in Australian water, said that a stowaway tra,nshipped from the Ferndale to tlie Zoalandic while the vessels were in the Indian Ocean. It was nocossajw to pour oil on the -troubled m a before the transfer could be made. W hen the Zealand io anchored oil s horo at Fremantle it. wa s found llitv!. the stowaway had broken open the cabin and was missing. A note was loft saying that he had decided to swim ashore. A search, however, revealed the man hiding in another part of the vessel.
