FATAL CRASH
ONE KILLED FIVE INJURED CARS MEET HEAD ON COLLISION ON STRAIGHT ROAD IV A 1 KAUAI’A ALU I DENT (Per Press Association). Mastertou Aug. 22. One person was killed and five were so badly injured tliat they had to he taken to tlie Mastertou public hospital ill a head ou collision between r tw’o motor ears 011 tlie Mas-tertoii-Car'terton road near the side rood leading to the Waingawa Freezing works at 5.40 this evening. The accident is believed to he the worst that has occurred on this road. Killed. —Mrs. Grose, middle aged. o<f Mastertou. Tlie injured were Mr. William Grose, a dental mechanic, of Musterton; Mrs. Greatliea.l, mother of Mrs. Grose an elderly woman; Thomas Gros. aged 10; Roliert Collision, driver of the other ear; Thomas Berney, a passenger in Coulston’s ear.
