FORGERY CHARGE

A city solicitor, Pereival, Soantlobury, 45. way nr rested by Detective Belton oil a forgery charge, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, 5.M.,. in ch 0 Police Court answer a charge that on October, 21, 1030. he made a false document, knowing it i»o ho false, a statutory declaration in. respect of his Inis; . account for the year ending March 31. 1930, purporting to he signed by F. J. Reynolds, accountant, and Ernest J. Vickery. J.P., wiuh intent that it should he used or acted upon a; if I were genuine. On the application of the police, accused was remanded to appear on July 2. Air E. W. Tnder who appeared for .Scantlebnry. asked for bail. Bail was fixed at £SOO- ' one surety of CgfiO or two of £250. Accused is to report daily to the police.
