In a fairly interesting game Carnarvon defeated Wanderers by two goals to nil. The country team liad the better of the game practically throughout aaul deserved its victory. lu a very fast game, Col vim beat Pirates by three goals to two. This c intest was well worth watching, t/acre being many displays of good hockey. The finest game of the day was the Hinekua. v, Carnarvon contest in the ladies’ competition. Hinckoa- won by four goals to three, and they -md t> fight every inch of the way. Both teams made funny fast runs, hud the attacks ori hot’i sides were masterly. There was "very little to choose between, t jwal teams. High School Old Girls defeat el Colv ton by four goals to one, the comblnatio»n of Old Girls proving too strong for the country team. On the whole it wa.s rather a scratchy game.
