RUNNING AT A LOSS

A statement regarding the running of Lite motor-vessel Maui Foma re was received from the Prime Minister by tile Auckland Chamber of Commerce. Air Forbes stated that the vessel had been run at a- loss during the past year, and that it was the* intention of the Government to operate the Mauri Puma re unless <>r until a scrv-co was produced by private enterprise. “The Government, must he 10.- ng about £2OOO per trip.
