11.M.5. LONDON ARRIVES FOR BRITISH. INTERESTS (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Rugby. April 8. The British cruiser London reached Madeira to-day, having been sent to safeguard the interests |>f British residents during the present disturbances in the island.- The London found conditions quiet, and no anxiety need be felt for the safety of the British community.
