Miss A. Myers, of Feilding, was elected a vice-president at the conference of Rabbit Farmers in Wellington. Mrs Florence Porter, wdll known in Feilding and district for her Fine service on behalf of the British and Foreign Bible Society, leaves for England on a holiday visit by the Tainui, accompanied by her sister, Miss Sheppard. Archbishop Redwood celebrates his 92nd birthday to-day. Born in Staffordshire in 1832 he came in New Zealand with his parents a a ver early ago. In 1874 he was appointed Bishop of Wellington in succession to Bishop Viard. Much regret will be felt, cspecialy in Rugby circles, at the news of the denih of Mr “Bob” George, of Manakau, 48 y ears of age. For many years he was captain of the 11 ui Mai C lub of Manakau, he was one of tjio Mnnawatu-ITorowhonua rep, players and in 1913 he went to Australia as a member of the Maori team. Mr George was educated at the Taonui school, Feilding, and went from that district at the age of 16 to take up farming in Horowhenua.
