OROUA COUNCIL’S CONCERN

It was not the unemployed in the country who would require the consideration of the Council, hut thc ratepayers, said Cr. A. Campbell at the Oroua County Council meeting yesterday when speaking on a Tetter from the Unemployment Board offering to subsidise work arranged for the unemployed. Some ratepayers were battling on and making nothing for themselves. The Council, would be compelled to consider this position when preparing the estimates next year.
