MILLION GALLONS ALB LADY WON STATEMENT TO STOCK EXCHANGE Mr G. C. Creugh, when addressing the Auckland Stock Exchange, referred to “the. long-continued search for oil results which may be 03 the greatest importance to our Dominion, and which will be a complete justification of the optim um of those who, in spite of discourage!uent and disappointment, have persisted with their efforts to tup oil in payable guantitles.” The search for o"l in the Taranaki! district had reached a most interesting stage. Oil and been located irom tim e to tune, but on the whole the results to date, had been disappointing, though at the- same time giving encouragement to further efforts. Perhaps some miblit not be aware that over 1,000,000 gallons of oil liad been won firom the Taranaki district alofte, and who was to say that with the improved machinery and methods now available there would not be very much greater results in future?
