Mr G. W. HazcUon, Chief Postmaster, at Nelson, who is retiring on superannuation after 40 years’ service in various parts of the Dominion, was farewclled on Saturday hv the staff and presented with a cheque Professor Hugh Stewart, formerly Professor of Classics at Canterbury College, Christchurch, New Zealand, and since 1926 Professor of Latin at the University pf Leeds, has been appointed principal of the University College at Nottingham, England.
