MOVE TO CHEAPEN' CHARGES (Per Press Association) Auckland, June 2t3. The Daily Express says that- manufacturers, merchants, and shipowners throughout the country' are preparing to combine :in a» great effort to secure a reduction of the high dock charges at British ports which are diverting trade towards the Oont'i'nont. Jt is suggested that all interests meet under the Board of Trade and the Ministry of Transport. The possibility is being canvassed for some form of Government assistance for railway companies and other port authorities for the improvement of transport facilities on a national scale..
