Thames, June 20.
Thorp was a peculiar result in a Thames County election, which closed to-day in the declaration by file returning officer flint Mr Cory Wrigid had boon elected for I lie Talma riding.
The election held early in May. resulted in Messrs Wright and Prescott. the two candidates, being equal. There wer n two declaratory votes, which went oue to each, hut there being some doubt as to the validity of these. Mr Wriglit resigned.
Another poll was taken, which showed Wright 27, Prescott 20. There were four declarations, and when those were opened, three were informal and one was for Prescott, making another tie. Today, the names were placed In a lint, tile returning officer drawing Mr Wright's name and declaring him elected.
