ANNUAL CONFERENCE AIR R. ,T. JACOBS PRESIDES (Per Press Association) Wellington, June 25. The annual conference or the New Zealand Returned tSOldiers’ Association 'opened to-day in the Town Hall. The Mayor extended to- the delegates a welcome, to the city. Air B. J. Jacobs of Palmerston was voted to the chair. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The following motion was passed relative to. the illness of the King: “That this ■ conference of New Zealand ex-servicemen desires to express to his Afajesty the King our gratification ufjni his Majesty’s return to health.”
