MEETING OF EXECUTIVE MINISTER'S APPRECIATION (Per Press Association) Wellington, June 25. The annual conference of tho Public Service Association’s executNe. committee was, opened to-day by the Hon. G. W. Forbes. The President, Mr Burgcdl;;, said the assoicati'on was gratified at the Premier’s announcement that tho Government was determined not to interior with the ; principle of non-poli-tical control of the service.

Mr Forbes expressed appreciation of the loyalty of the Public Service. Both in ability and loyalty it stood very . high indeed, and s*e thought that was generally recognised by the people of New Zealand.
