Mi- Lloyd Georye lias expressed the opinion that his intervention would be most, inopportune. Mr MacDonald is said to bo willing to serve if both sides approached him.
It is believed that the General’s new offer to tlie High Council will provide for entrusting the Council with the appointment of his successor and the reorganisation of the system of control, but he adamantly refuses to resign immediately and abandon his sacral trust.
