PUTTING COMPETITION

AVON BY. MRS MILES

The putting competition on the band rotunda, square in connection with Carnival Week was played off last evening in the presence of a large crowd. Tl|e play-off was between three ladies who had tied, for the trophy given hy ■Mr David Pryde. After am interesting contest, Mrs P. G. Miles won with a score of 35, Mrs Tingey was runner up with 38 and Miss Curtis returned a 40 card! Mr Alf Kingston supervised the contest. After trophy had been presented, cheers were given for the winner and the donor.
