Aetlng on tile suggestion of President Cosgrave that Do .Valera should he released purely as an act of grace file Minister of Home Affairs for Northern Ireland offered him his freedom conditional upon necessary undertaking being given. •De Valera rigidly refused and thus remains in gaol.
