INTERESTING POSITION
AN INCORRECT ADDRESS LETTERi THAT ARRIVED TOO LATE {Per Press Association) Wellington. May *22. The fact that a nominal ion addressed incorrectly was received late has produced an rnLercsling position with regard to the Dairy Hoard election. Hi the cose of Mr R. T. Hooker, of Whitford, a candidate against; Mr Grounds, there was apparently a last minute rush i.n forwarding the official nomination paper for it had not beieu received bv noon yesterday when the noniimtion.s closed. A registered letter containing the paper was, received by the returning oilice,. at y p.iu., hut. it was found to be addressed to “Dairy Control Hoard elect ion, Wellington.” The postal ollieials had placed the nofilicaCon in (.lie hoard’s letter box at the Host. Office at which the registered letter had arrived. It was not until late that it was discovered that the let ter should have been addressed to the returning office, Department of Agriculture.
