Mrs Browne. in a «,tari.ling Jotter to Reynold’s Sunday .News on the Miss Savage ease, says that on. the day following .Browne’s arrest, Scotland Yard men took lier to the station at 10.30 in the morning and kept her till seven at night. They questioned her hour alter Jiour and let her have nothing to eat or drink. A child accompanying her cried Utterly! “Mummy, can’t I have something to cat!"' ’ Ihe police then provided tea and rough sandwiches.She alleged the questioning was uncanny, the police saying: ‘ ou must he aware of your husband movements ami what he is doing. She was tired and worn out when she wa s allowed to go at night and said she was unable to say anything as she was so fatigued.
