BOARD'S APRIL ACTIVITIES MORE IAH’ORTANT WORKS Tho following are some of the works of district interest, carried out by the Alain Highways Board during April s t ra t ford -Ta n m a rmm i.—lo cl in 1 ns of metalling of the phura road at Tain has been completed. Foxt on-Shannon. —Alanawat u river bridge: Good progress has been made with the superstructure aud painting. The concrete abutments l'dr two small bridges on the approach to this bridge have been practically completed. Formation at both end* Is well in hand. llimifaiigi-Aslilmrst, via Palmerston North.—Burke’s drain bridge an;l flood gates on the IlangioTu " bridg'd to Palmerston North section have been completed. Tar-seallng on the Napier road has been completed to (lie county boundary with the exception of Bullocky Creek culvert site. Greatford-AVoodville, via Feilding and Ashhurst.—Kakariki to Feilding: McDonald's creek bridge and Swamp creek bridge have been completed. The formation and approaches are in hand. AwaliurLMangnwoka, via Kimbolton. —Improvements to the road on either side of the Mann in Roafl junction between Rangiwaliia and Rualiine have been completed.
