FORGERY CHARGES
HE PLEADED GUILTY COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE {Per Press Association) Wellington, April 26. William 'Robertson, 31. a drainlayer, was committed for .sentence for forging a cheque for UlO. He also pleaded guilty to obtaining ,i-l Is by false pretences. Sentence was deferred until alter (he has been dealt with in the Supreme Court. ANOTHER CASE Four charges of forging- Post Offfi'e Sa-ving*.! Bank receipts and eaurs ing them to he acted upon ns though, genuine, were preferred against Gordon Lewis Keene, aged 32. The amount involved was £l9l. Ernest Anderson stated that ho left his hook at the office of Sir Kenheth Dougins, where the accused was employed. Some time" later lie) called to collect the hook, bub it could not be found, and accented admitted stealing the book. He stated that he was pressed' for money. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
