Some members of Oroua County Council at least are not enamoured of the present, system of apportioning number plates with the registration of motor vehicles. Cr. O. McElroy said the old system was much more convenient. “The present system is the most ridiculous peace of legislation in New Zealand. ’ said Cr. McElroy. - “No worse than daylight saving!” iemarked the chairman.
