QUALITY OF THE OFFERINGS (Per Press Association) Dunedin, Afar. 10. The feature of the Dunedin sales which have just, been concluded was the quality of the offerings. <1 may not bo so widely known how this qualify was readied. Some of the best dips were held over from the January, sales—purposely held over—so asi to allow the growers on a smaller scale, who were anxious for immediate relurns, to get- in at the .January sales. The fact that these sales were practically the last of the season at which, prime fine wool would be obtainable here also had its influence. The users of line wool were eager, and in some eases the nominal limits wore stretched by the bidders. As to the matter of record prices, the boom year in New Zealand for wool was the early part of 1024-25, and the prices now obtained are the highest, since then.'
