Eighteen bodies- have been rescued from an avalanche which occurred on Mount Serratt, situated in the centre of the city on Saturday at dawn burying a. hospital and 14 houses some 200 people being involved. Frantic digging amongst the earth, and rocks for the. others is proceeding. The shifting of the earth ia hindering rescue operations.
